Brighter Side Therapy Services offers both individual therapy for children, teens, and young adults, parent coaching, as well as psychological assessments for children ages 6+. See below for specific details regarding services.

Individual Child Therapy

Child therapy helps children better understand their emotions, behaviors, and experiences in a supportive and developmentally appropriate environment.

Using evidence-based approaches and play-based techniques, therapy focuses on building emotional regulation, coping skills, flexibility, and self-confidence.

I work collaboratively with both children and their caregivers to address concerns such as anxiety, behavioral challenges, executive dysfunction, social difficulties, and adjustment to life changes.

Individual Adult Therapy

Adult therapy provides a collaborative space to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress or interfering with daily life.
Using evidence-based approaches, treatment focuses on increasing insight, strengthening coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and supporting meaningful change.

Sessions can also focus on identifying strategies and tools to keep up with life’s demands (ie. organization, planning, focus).

Therapy can address concerns such as anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

Parent Coaching

Parenting can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel overwhelming at times.
Parent coaching provides a supportive space to talk through challenges, better understand your child’s behavior, and learn practical strategies that work for your family.
Together, we focus on building effective communication, setting clear boundaries, and responding to challenging behaviors with confidence and consistency.
My goal is to help parents feel more supported, empowered, and equipped in their parenting.

Psychological/Psychoeducational Assessments

The worksheet has a black and white image of a barn and windmill in the background, and the person is sitting at a wooden surface.
Sometimes it can be difficult to understand why a child or teen is struggling in school, socially, or emotionally. A psychological assessment can help provide answers.
Through a structured evaluation process, we look at areas such as learning, attention, memory, and emotional functioning to better understand your child’s unique strengths and challenges.
At the end of the process, families receive a detailed report and personalized recommendations to help support their child at home and in school.
